Gorilla Tracking Trek Holiday Vacation Experience Africa

Gorilla Tracking Trek

Come face-to-face with the endangered mountain gorilla on an awe-inspiring African primate on a gorilla tracking trek safari holiday vacation experience.

One of nature’s most remarkable encounters, trek through mysterious rainforest, glimpses of ancient volcanic peaks emerging through the canopy, on a quest to find the incredible mountain gorilla. The opportunity to get up-close with endangered mountain gorillas is surely one of nature’s most magical offerings.

Its totally different from any other safari experience, an exhilarating trek with knowledgeable rangers will lead you in search of a gorilla family. Once located, you will have one enchanting hour to spend in their company learning a little about their lives.

Be sure nothing will prepare you for your first glimpse of a huge silverback as well as the journey to reach these majestic creatures that may be long, arduous and literally breathtaking – but the reward is a captivating and truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

You might first spot young gorillas – climbing, play fighting and testing the patience of their elders – their child-like behavior endearing and enthralling. Watch as an adult female comes into view, a tiny wide-eyed baby clinging to her back. And there’s nothing like feeling the eyes of a dominant silverback fixed upon you – not welcoming, not threatening but, for a moment, interested in you as another intelligent being.

All precautions are taken to protect the gorillas. Visitors are asked to keep a distance of seven meters between themselves and the gorillas to reduce the risk of transferring human diseases. Viewing times are limited to one hour to minimize the impact on the gorillas’ natural environment. There is a strict maximum of eight people per group, and only one visit to each gorilla family per day.
