Day 1: Arusha Town
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a Sanctuary representative and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Arusha Coffee Lodge is located on a coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha.
Arusha Coffee Lodge is designed around the style of the original plantation houses but completely renovated to achieve the highest standards of comfort; the décor is luxuriant and stylish with undertones of the bygone days of early exploration. Each of the 18 plantation houses has been lavishly furnished and features a split level living area and a private deck. The lodge also boasts a coffee shop, patisserie and a swimming pool.

Day 2: Arusha Town - Tarangire National Park
Early this morning you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to Arusha airstrip for your flight to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to Sanctuary Swala in our customized open safari vehicle. Driving time is approximately 30 minutes with game viewing en route.
Each of the twelve tents at Sanctuary Swala is shaded by tall acacia trees and ancient baobabs and is within sight of the well-frequented waterhole. The canvas pavilions at Sanctuary Swala are unashamedly luxurious but still close enough to nature to permit an exciting night under canvas. In the afternoon there is time to relax before embarking on your first game drive. Huge herds of elephant, greater kudu, impala and zebra are all easily spotted while leopards lurk in the trees. Due to the camp's secluded location you are unlikely to see many vehicles as you venture out into the national park.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park
This morning awake to the sounds of the bush as a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee is served on your tents deck. The rest of the morning is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. Return to your camp where your hosts will greet you with a refreshing drink and a well-deserved lunch.
In the afternoon you have time to take a refreshing swim in the pool or relax on your private deck with a cool drink and gaze out to the waterhole and watch as the game lazily congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. As the afternoon progresses you may like to return to the Tarangire on an afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge to freshen up before meeting around the camp fire for a pre-dinner drink as you discuss the day's adventures.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Manyara. Upon arrival approximately 20 minutes later your driver/guide will transfer you to the Ngorongoro Crater in a custom made 4WD safari vehicle. Drive to the crater highlands and up through the lush outer wall of the crater. Stop at Hero's Point for your first, breathtaking view out across the Ngorongoro Crater which is the largest unbroken caldera in the world at 260 km2. Continue your journey as you drive along the rim of the crater, through the forest before arriving at your exclusive mobile camp.
Each custom-made walk in tent is spacious and complete with en suite bathroom, flush toilet, showers and hot water available throughout the day. The spacious veranda in front of your room is furnished with comfortable camp chairs and tables - the perfect retreat for a relaxing moment watching a weaver bird building its nest in a nearby Acacia tree, a herd of impala grazing quietly only meters away, or simply relaxing and listening to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
Awake early this morning to a warming cup of tea or coffee served on the veranda of your tent. After a hearty breakfast, it's time to descend to the crater floor by 4WD vehicle for a day of game viewing with the spectacular backdrop of the crater wall at every turn. This great caldera is home to around 30,000 animals with a high concentration of predators while rhino can be seen with calves at heel. Zebra and wildebeest account for almost half the animals with plenty of gazelle, buffalo, hartebeest, and wart hog and bull elephants. On the lake in the middle of the crater you may see thousands of flamingos fluttering and shimmering like a pink heat haze. Return to camp this afternoon with time for a hot shower before pre dinner drinks by the camp fire as you discuss the day's adventures.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
This morning transfer back to Manyara airstrip for your onward flight to the Serengeti departing at 0915, flying time is approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival you will be met by a Sanctuary Kusini representative and transferred to camp. Driving time to camp is 30 minutes through the Serengeti with game viewing en route.
At Sanctuary Kusini accommodation is offered in twelve double tents which are scattered around the main kopje. Private verandas with comfortable furnishings extend in front of each unit where your personal tent attendant will bring you tea and coffee so you can relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings. The dining area, lounge and library are housed in the main area, which affords spectacular views from its wooden deck and the adjacent kopje. Following dinner this evening retire to the kopje where you may take this rare opportunity to enjoy a star safari as the camp manager unravels the myths of the night sky.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Today you may choose to either partake in a full day game drive into the heart of the Serengeti with a picnic lunch or remain close to camp with morning and afternoon game drives.
This evening return to camp and climb to the top of the Kopje for stunning 360 degree views of the Serengeti. Relax with your preferred drink as you watch the setting sun paint the Serengeti with pinks, oranges and reds. Settle in at the dining tent for a deliciously prepared meal before retiring to your tent after an eventful day of game viewing.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Arusha Town - Saadani National Park
Enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing at camp or venture out early on a morning game drive before transferring to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Arusha where you will get onto your scheduled flight to Saadani Airstrip. Arrive at the airstrip where a Saadani Safari lodge representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. The transfer is approximately 15 minutes.
The Saadani Safari Lodge is located on the Southern border of Saadani National Park and has six eco-friendly suites, each with ocean views opening on to the sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean. The lodge offers a variety of activities ranging from traditional game drives to sand bank picnics to a Maasai Community Tour. The sandy beach is home to fishermen reeling in their daily catch and near to the Wami River

Day 9: Saadani National Park
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. Today you might want to explore the area from game drive starting straight from the lodge's 'front door' in comfortable 4x4 vehicles. The park is the only coastal wildlife sanctuary of its kind on the eastern coast of Africa and so the game safaris are completely unique. The big four are frequently spotted around the lodge.
The cool ocean is also the perfect place to visit the underwater world. The lodge is able to arrange for guests to set out on a motorized boat to a nearby sandbank where equipped with snorkeling masks and flippers guests could take a swim in the blue crystal clear waters and admire the coral and fish which have found their home in the waters off the beach.

Day 10: Saadani National Park
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. There is an abundance of local birdlife within and round the lodge. Let your guide tell you about the different species and use their trained eye to help you look deeper and spot more than you could have imagined. This area is a birdwatcher's paradise and even for those who do not fall into that category, the birdlife will astonish you too. Guests are also bale to learn about the Maasai culture by visiting their community and speaking to the locals. The villagers love to entertain guests with their local traditions and teach guests about their way of life.

Day 11: Saadani National Park
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. There is a huge amount of wildlife in and around the lodge. Whether you journey in 4x4 vehicles, by boat or on foot, you'll be up close and personal with the wildlife. There is a good chance of spotting lions, leopards, buffalo, antelope, hyenas, giraffes, elephants and zebras. By the river it is likely that you will spot hippos and crocodiles while Colobus monkeys clamber through the trees on the river banks. The lodge and the surrounding areas are blessed with an array of bird life, ranging from the commonly viewed to the exotic and rare: Fish eagle, Black kite, Cuckoo Hawk, Lanner falcon, Lesser kestrel, Purple heron, Brown-necked parrot, Ringed plover, Long-crested eagle, Greater flamingo to name a few.

Day 12: Saadani National Park - Dar Es Salaam City
After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar Es Salaam. The time of the transfer will be advised to you locally by the camp management. Kindly note that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick-ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.
