Day 1: Arrive Kigali City – Volcanoes National Park / Parc National des Volcans
You will be met upon arrival at Kigali airport by your private vehicle and driver/guide and transferred through the land of a thousand hills to the esteemed Volcanoes National Park / Parc National des Volcans. A chance to relax at your lodge, in the shadow of the dramatic Virunga Volcanoes before your gorilla tracking safari starts in the morning!

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park / Parc National des Volcans
Your first day of gorilla tracking! An early start to make your way to the park headquarters where you are assigned a ranger and a gorilla group. Tracking the gorillas can take anything from 4-8 hours in lush green, steep, muddy, terrain! It is, however, the experience of a lifetime... coming across these amiable primates in their natural surroundings is quite awe-inspiring as you watch them go about their daily lives, playing, grooming, farting and eating! Return to the lodge later in the afternoon to relax, have a hot shower and reflect on the day’s activities.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park / Parc National des Volcans
Your second day of gorilla tracking! As with the previous day you will be assigned a ranger and a gorilla group at the park headquarters. On most occasions you are assigned a different group, but there is no guarantee. In any case, the experience is likely to be completely different; as similar to humans their behavior can vary greatly from day to day making each encounter unique.

Day 4: Volcanoes National Park / Parc National des Volcans – Kigali City
Today is your last day of gorilla tracking. It’s such a privilege to spend time with these breathtaking primates; as it is your final day, sit with these gentle giants and take in your surroundings, a moment to savor. This afternoon you transfer back through the land of a thousand hills to Kigali. On arrival, you have a chance to relax and reminisce over the adventures of the last few days.

Day 5: Kigali City
This morning you have time to visit the genocide memorial prior to transferring to the airport in time for your international flight back home – (B)
