Day 1: Arrival in Dar Es Salaam City, Tanzania

Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Southern Sun hotel. This hotel is within walking distance of the beach and the center of Dar Es Salaam. Southern Sun Hotel an ideal place to stay if you are just passing through Dar Es Salaam City.

Day 2 – 6: Selous Game Reserve

On this morning you fly to the Selous Game Reserve. This Game Reserve is one of the largest game reserves in the world that is remote, unspoilt and untouched its one of Africa’s true wilderness.

 The landscape at Selous Game Reserve is very diverse with volcanic hot springs, lakes, savannahs, forests and large rocks. Selous Game Reserve is named after the famous elephant hunter Frederick Courtney Selous.

The Selous Game Reserve has plenty of wildlife to admire; more than 440 different species. An experienced ranger will take you into the bush for a private walking safari or to the Rufiji river for a boat excursion trip so you can view nature and the animals up-close.

Stay at the best lodges in Selous; Sand Rivers Selous and Kiba Point.

Sand River Selous is a luxury lodge with 8 suites, five of them with views over the river and 3 overlooking the hills. The suites are very comfortable and the lodge prides itself on having the best showers in Tanzania.

Day 6 – 12: Mafia Island
